Join MV Ventures for a professional development experience where we explore the question: What performance management systems most effectively promote both individual growth and institutional progress toward strategic goals?

In an era of rapid change, marked by disruptive technologies, teacher shortages, and increasing complexity, schools need systems that go beyond compliance-driven evaluations. Instead, they need to cultivate cultures of perpetual learning, data without blame, and aligned organizational practices.

This workshop equips education leaders with research-based insights and practical tools to help begin to design systems that support meaningful professional growth and drive sustainable school improvement.

As a school of inquiry, innovation, and impact, Mount Vernon School continues to reimagine what school is and does. Closing the gap between real life and school life, we have been on a transformational journey for over a decade and can empathize with the opportunities and challenges that you are navigating.

On this expedition, you will join members of the Mount Vernon team for a half-day of deeper learning and connect with expert practitioners on a guided Learning Walk. Experience how Mount Vernon looks at the whole child (PK-12) through the lens of real-world project work. Topics will include Design Thinking, Inquiry Based Learning; Inter/Multi/Transdisciplinary Learning, Innovative & Flexible Spaces, Maker, Design & Engineering, and Competency Based Education with a focus on personalization.

An experiential workshop that will focus on Faculty Growth and Evaluation through a Systems Approach Model of Continued Learning. Using Mount Vernon’s focus on regenerative school culture and design thinking methodology, Compass, participants will use a design thinking framework and see what the 4 D’s (Discovery, Define, Design, and Deploy) can look like at your school.

After the morning Learning Walks, participants will break for lunch and debrief with faculty and admin team members.
